7 Ways People Find My Blog In Google

A few days ago I was looking through my Google Analytics reports and clicked on the keyword feature to see what keywords my visitors have been using to find my blog. After looking over the whole list, I noticed 7 keyword phrases that make me really proud of my blog. I never would of guessed I would rank for these terms but now that I do, I love it. Haha.

So what are they you ask? Here you go:

#7. The Most Offensive Blog Ever

The reason I wrote this post was to promote a different blog but I really don’t mind ranking number 1 for the most offensive blog ever…

#6. Alcohol Is Not The Answer

It’s true, alcohol is not the answer. But wait a second…it depends what question you are asking. If the question was “how to to make an ass of yourself,” then alcohol WOULD be the answer.

#5. Best Ways To Kill My Boss

Yet another term I had no intention of ranking for. The crazy thing is the fact that a few people search this term everyday.

#4. Cope With A Hangover At Work

I can still remember the day I wrote this post. I was spinning in my chair cursing out the devil (also known as spiced rum). I sure don’t miss having to wake up early after a night of binge drinking.

#3. I Hate Office Politics

I hated office politics then and I hate office politics now. The thought of people rambling on about stuff I could care less about still makes my head hurt. At least I know longer have to participate in company events or birthday parties.

#2. Sleeping In The Bathroom At Work

Who could forget the bathroom stall hammock? Just the thought of sleeping on company time makes me smile and happy on the inside. However, I have not slept in a bathroom since I quit my job. That leads me to believe that it’s time to come up with a new invention of some sort.

#1 Job + Great Pay + Low Stress + Few Hours + Telecommute

This is by far my favorite search phrase of all time. The person that searched for this phrase has really got things figured out. Not only do they want a job with great pay, but also a job with low stress and low hours. If that wasn’t enough to ask for, they are also looking to telecommute. If there really is such a job, please tell me about it.

Does your blog rank well for some funny (or weird) keywords?

It’s an amazing feeling when people actually start finding your site based on keywords you want them to use. My blog is new so it isn’t getting to many search hits yet, but amazingly enough someone got there via the search words, “beverly hills, santa monica bouevard” which is just what I wanted.

I would love to say I found you through some great search phrase but I am afraid that is not the case. But it is all entertaining.

Ok, well I Googled “best way to kill my boss, avoiding stress, in the bathroom stall because he stirred up office politics when I was hungover” to find you…ok, ok, so perhaps I was just redirected here from blogcatalog.com! It would’ve been funny though! x

I highly recommend everyone to get Google Analytics because of things like this. When you find out your blog posts that get searched the most, you can begin to edit and improve those posts even though they are old posts. I would say to put advertisements into the post that has been found through search engines the most.
