Well today is Valentines day, and for anyone thats been living under a rock, here is the summary found on WikiPedia:
“Valentine’s Day or Saint Valentine’s Day is a holiday celebrated on February 14. In North America and Europe, it is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine’s cards, presenting flowers, or offering confectionery. The holiday is named after two early Christian martyrs named Valentine. The day became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.”
I am sure people are buying gifts left and right. But me? Not so much. I am not a big fan of the “Greeting Card” holidays. Yeah, I suppose if I was in a long-term relationship I would buy her a gift, but luckily…I’m not.
So the question is what to do on Valentines day? I am pretty sure we are going to a Cupid Party at Zuma Grill in Tempe tonight. It sounds like a lot of fun and Tempe always seems to produce the best stories. Plus it sounds like it will be pretty packed since it was advertised on Facebook this week. It starts at 9 so I am planning to head down there a little after that depending on what my friends want to do.
I will put up a post tomorrow morning detailing tonights events and let everyone know how it went.
So long for now…
