On a recent trip to California, I visited the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest located in the White Mountains of eastern California. These trees, some of which are more than 5,000 years old, grow between 9,800 and 11,000 feet above sea level. I find it amazing that these trees have been around for such a long period of time.
